Homecoming 2010 Themes

Submit a Homecoming 2010 theme idea and be entered into a prize drawing for a $50 Mesa Pizza gift card.

The theme may be selected using the following criteria:

  1. Extends upon the concept of Homecoming. Since 1914, the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has celebrated Homecoming, a week dedicated to honoring the spirit and energy of the maroon and gold. This celebration connects the campus community with events such as live concerts, sports competitions, philanthropy initiatives, parade, and more.
  2. Easily understood. You don’t want to explain what a theme means, or give people an inside joke or riddle.
  3. Appeals to University community as a whole
  4. Is appropriate. Does not portray negativity towards the opposing sports team.
  5. Highlights the University, school spirit, Homecoming or Goldy Gopher.
